Area Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are staking out St Joe grocery stores this weekend to gather food donations for Second Harvest Community Food Bank.

The young volunteers will be at local grocers Saturday March 29th, from 10am to 2pm.

The Scouting for Food drive is coordinated by local scout Eugene Lickenbrock.

At this time of year, they’re looking for some specific food items:

Peanut Butter
Canned chicken, tuna and ham
Canned beans (kidney, pinto, black, chili, refried)
Bagged beans (white, navy, pinto)
Canned peas (black-eyed, split)
