What’s In A Name? If It’s A NW Mo Ballot, Punctuation Marks!

punctuationBallots winners in Northwest Missouri Tuesday included a number of candidates who include punctuation marks in their names.

We have a “Kappy,” a (Spanky), and, a “Grumpy.”

“Kappy” is Kathleen Hodges, who won a school board seat in St Joseph, beating out “Jeff” Bird.

Kent O’Dell spells his nickname with parentheses, (Spanky). O’Dell was elected to the St Joseph City Council.

Voters in the Clinton County R-3 School District elected Keith “Grumpy” Felts to the school board.
