Shyanne Saladino is a 5-5 pitcher from Davenport, Iowa. Saladino will transfer from Kirkwood Community College where she has had an outstanding career. She played her high school softball at Davenport West where she was a five year letter winner. She was an All-State and All-Conference selection four times and was an All-District selection once. She has also had five at bats picking up three hits with three RBI, one run scored and one double.

As a freshman at Kirkwood, Saladino helped her team to a conference and district championship. During her freshman campaign she went 10-0 in 21 appearances. She picked up three saves and pitched six complete games. In 79.2 innings of work she gave up 66 hits, 18 earned runs (1.58 ERA) with 70 strikeouts (6.15 K/game). She is the daughter of Joy and Steve and plans on majoring in exercise science or education at Missouri Western State University.

“Adding Shyanne to our pitching staff is really big for our team,” commented Coach Bagley. “She is a talented pitcher with much to offer athletically. More importantly, she is a competitor that knows how to win.  We are excited to get her in black and gold.”
