Semi-truck driver and pedestrian injured in crash

Screen Shot 2014-04-18 at 7.30.22 AMCHANUTE- A semi truck driver and a good Samaritan were injured in a Thursday crash in Neosho County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a disabled Semi truck driven by Denise A. Shanks, 41, Crestline, KS was in the westbound lane of K47 and hit by a another Semi truck that also hit a pedestrian, Jonathan Martin, 25, Erie. He had stopped to help Shanks with her vehicle.

Martin was transported to Neosho Memorial Hospital. Shanks was transported to Labette County Health Center.

The KHP reported Shanks was not wearing a seat belt.
