NORTONVALE–A northeast Kansas woman was killed in a Sunday night car accident in Jefferson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Margaret L. Schuler, 71, Nortonvale died when a 2000 Toyota Camry driven by Don Schuler, 71, Nortonvale was Southbound on Osage Road and failed to yield at a stop sign.

The Camry was hit by a 1986 Buick Park Avenue driven by Alyissa M. Berglund, 15, Atchison that was traveling northeast on K-4.

Schuler was pronounced dead at the scene.

Don Schuler, Berglund and passengers in the Buick Mary R. Wilks, 17, and Debbie A. Russell, 36 both of Topeka, and Amber Forbes, 9, and Benjamin Forbes, 4, both of Atchison were transported to Stormont Vail.

The KHP reported all were properly restrained.
