Governor Jay Nixon was scheduled to visit Savannah Monday night. The governor planned to touch on the impact of Senate Bill 509 on education.
He planned to speak to a regional meeting of the Missouri School Board Association at Savannah Middle School.
Nixon claims the tax-cut bill would eliminate income taxes on individuals making over $9,000/year.
Republicans disagree, and they pulled in a former Supreme Court Justice and the Missouri Society of CPAs to bolster their view.
