A cab driver says he was held up by a customer after taking him from the Stockyards Expressway to 16th and Messanie shortly after 4 am Tuesday. He says the customer put something against his stomach and demanded money. The driver says it felt like a gun, though he didn’t see one.

The robber left with some cash. There were no injuries. The robber was described as a heavy-set black male about six feet tall, wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The incident is under investigation.
