RUSHVILLE-A Kansas man was injured in a Buchanan County crash Thursday at 10:53 p.m.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Honda Accord driven by Shawn L. Williams, 39, Atchison, was northbound on US 59 near Mud Lake Road.

The car traveled off the road, struck an embankment and became airborne. The car struck another embankment causing it to overturn multiple times and the driver was ejected.

Williams was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center and remains in serious condition at Heartland, per nursing supervisor on Thursday morning.
