As floodwater recedes it leaves a lot of debris behind.

Bob Younie of the Iowa Department of Transportation says the department is preparing to put two huge debris-removal projects along the Missouri River up for bids. 

These photographs were taken on August 5th on I-29 just north of the Iowa/Missouri border between mile markers 2 and 17.
