A lane closure on I-29 is slowing southbound traffic near Mound City.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says they’re repairing a bridge on the southern edge of Mound City. The southbound driving lane is now closed and will remain closed through the weekend.

According to a MODOT news release, the lane should reopen in the afternoon on Monday, May 19, 2014, weather permitting. During the lane closure and repair work, a 14-foot width restriction will be in place for all southbound traffic.
