SAVANNAH, Mo. – Lori Beth Standlee, 56, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 27, 1960 in Merced, Calif., to Guy Keller and Bobbie (Place) Newhard.
Lori married Key Standlee in 2007, who preceded her in death June 19, 2013.
She was a registered nurse in California and Arizona.Lori enjoyed volunteering with the VFW Post 6760 Auxillary.
She was preceded in death by her father, Guy Keller; sister, Renee Keller, and grandmother, Alece Henson.
Survivors: mother, Bobbie Jo Newhard, St. Joseph; brother, Guy Mark Keller, St. Joseph; sister, Lea Ann Pidgeon, Kansas City, Mo.; step-son, Curtis Standlee, St. Joseph; step-sisters, Shannon Keller and Darcie Keller, Kingman, Ariz., Cindy Rolley, Annabella, Utah, and Linda Ortega, Kettle Falls, Wash.; step-brother, Donny Jewell, Olympia, Wash.; niece, Alena M. Pidgeon, St. Joseph; aunt, Evelyn Keller, Modesto, Calif.; cousin, David Keller, Menced, Calif.; and her beloved dogs, Dutchie and Penny.

ST. JOSEPH – Florence Stewart “Billie” Vories, 88, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at her home.
She was born on May 11, 1926 to Edwin Holmes “Jack” and Eva Lindley Stewart in St. Joseph, where she has been a resident all her life.
She graduated from Central High School, attended Ward-Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn., Northwestern College in Evanston, Ill., and graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., with a bachelor’s of art degree. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta social sorority.
Florence was employed with the St. Joseph State Hospital for thirty–two years as a psychiatric social worker until she retired in 1988. She was also a life-long member of Christ Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild more than twenty-five years. Florence was devoted to her pets and a friend to all animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Patricia Stewart Rogers.
Graveside Services and Interment: 10 a.m., Monday, Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph, P.O. ST. JOSEPH – Michael Dean Engeman, 60, died Friday, June 6, 2014 at a local healthcare facility.
He was born December 30, 1953 to Monte and Donna (Watson) Engeman in St. Joseph.
He graduated from Central High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was also a member of Operating Engineers Local #101.
Michael was preceded in death by his step-father, Harold Frasher.
Survivors: mother; sisters, Dee Schubert (John), and Traci Frasher, all of St. Joseph; and his companion, Carol Ecker, Gladstone, Mo.

ST. JOSEPH – Jennifer Christine Edwards, 42, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Heartland Hospital.
She was born January 15, 1972. She was a 1990 graduate of Mid-Buchanan high school. She was a long time employee of Kay Jewelry in the East Hills Mall. Jennifer was preceded in death by sister, Denise Marti, maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include, parents, Ralph and Jeanne Edwards; daughter, Amber Edwards and fiancé Jesse Zahner; her first grandson, Haze; two sisters, Amy Edwards, and Shelly Williams of Wichita, Kan.; nephew, Buddy Marti; niece, Holly Marti; nephews, Nicholas and Wyatt Arnold.
Ms. Edwards has been cremated under the care of the Rupp Funeral Home, a memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Jennifer kindly donated her organs to help other people.
