PAOLA, Kan. (AP) — Miami County authorities say the body of a 57-year-old Gardner man was recovered from Hillsdale Lake during the weekend.

The body of Timothy Jackson was recovered Sunday afternoon. The sheriff’s office says Jackson was jet skiing with a friend Saturday afternoon and stayed on the lake when the friend left. Authorities say they were contacted Sunday morning after Jackson didn’t come home.

His body was found near his personal watercraft. Investigators said Jackson was wearing a life jacket.

The cause of Jackson’s death is being investigated.
