Carl D. Limley, 79, St. Joseph, Missouri passed Saturday, August 10, 2013 at his residence.

He was born October 3, 1933 in Omaha, Nebraska.

He married Beverly Marie Rollett July 11, 1958 in Troy, Kansas.

He was a janitor at Laverna Village Nursing Home and retired in 1999. Carl was a member of Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed working on cars, playing with his dogs, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Limley; grandson, David Scott Limley; and son-in-law, Walter Blohm.

Survivors: wife; son, David Dewayne (Kathy) Limley; daughters, Sandra (Jim) Payne, Pam (Vernon) Ellis, Vicki Blohm, and Becky (David) Bonnett; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three half-brothers; and two half-sisters.

Victor R. Greene, 82, Plattsburg, Missouri died Friday, August 9, 2013 at a local healthcare facility. He was born March 18, 1931 to Hahn and Lena (Williams) Greene.

He married Shirley A. Hawk on April 3, 1954.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Victor was an airplane mechanic for over 50 years and retired from Executive Beech Craft.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and son, John Greene.

Survivors: daughters, Teri Weber and Carolyn Hall; and sister, Zay Stallings.

Marlene J. Wilson, 72, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at her home.

She was born June 30, 1941 to Virgil and Bonnie (Hayes) Johnson in Hamburg, Iowa.

She married Lloyd Wilson on August 1, 1980. He survives of the home.

Marlene was a member at Wesley United Methodist Church and worked at McDonalds as a manager and helped open the North Belt location, before becoming a homemaker.

She enjoyed gardening, fishing, quilting, mushroom hunting, and was a seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her father; and sister, Sue Fenley.

Additional Survivors: husband; mother; children, Dana Matt (Pete), Donna Bruns (Jeff), Darcy Adams (Steve), Pam Million (Mike), and Susan Voss (Hank); grandchildren, Josh Glidewell, Janelle Glidewell, Bethany Barton, Megan Barton, Amanda Adams, Brad Million, Mike Million, Blair Million, John Voss, and Adrian Johnson; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Maurice Johnson (Karen); sister, Jerre Robertson (Mike); and several nieces and nephews.

Jeannene Rose Pontius

She was born October 1, 1949 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Wilma and James Miller.

She graduated from Lafayette high school and Missouri Western State University with a Bachelor of Science in Leisure Management. She married Chester Pontius on March 22, 1994 and he survives of the home. She worked at St. Joseph school district as a Para Professional Substitute teacher, and enjoyed watching old movies, listen to Gather Brothers Gospel music, but most especially spending time with her grandchildren, She was a member of Carnegie Baptist.

Jeannene was preceded in death by father, James Milton Miller.

Survivors include, husband, Chester Pontius of the home, mother, Wilma Nadine Miller of St. Joseph, MO, daughter, Jalalia “Joann” Miller of St. Joseph, MO, son, Ludwig (LaDonna) Halamar of St. Joseph, MO, daughter, Christinia (Kasey) Keesaman of Clarksdale, MO, and two other sons, Joseph F. (Amanda) Pontius of St. Joseph, MO, and Andrew (Camie) Pontius of Liberty, MO, seventeen, grandchildren, two, great grandchildren, and a brother Orville (Bridgett) Miller of Joplin, MO.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the Carnegie Baptist Church, Pastor Jacob McMillen and Rev. Albert Shirley officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The Interment will be at the Glaze Cemetery, Cainsville, MO. Memorials are requested to the Gideon Bible International or Carnegie Baptist Church.

She was born May 29, 1939 in New Cambria, Missouri daughter of Emma & Jerome Cadle. She graduated from New Cambria High school. She was a Homemaker. She served in the Army during the Vietnam War era.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald P. Cadle, her parents, a son, Frederick Cadle, two brothers, Leonard and Jerry Lee Mitch, and a sister, Mary Davis.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Cadle and Wilma Guy both of St. Joseph, MO, and Cynthia (Rodney) Wagner of Lees Summit, MO, three sons, Donald R. Cadle of Saint Joseph, MO, son, John P. (Rebecca) Cadle of Roy, WA, son, David Cadle of St. Joseph, MO, 5 grandchildren, Nancy Bickell, Kylie Wagner, Cindy Wagner, John Preston Cadle Jr, and Catherine Petersen, a brother, Tony Mitch of Marceline, MO, and a sister, Linda K. Watson of Callao, MO.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Rupp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. The inurnment with her husband Donald will follow at the National Cemetery with military honors. She has been cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. Basil Kay Carr, 75, St. Joseph, Missouri died Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was born May 2, 1938 to Leo and Helen Carr.

Basil served in the U.S. Marines for 13 years, as a Chief Cook. He worked at D&G, Moila, and Corby Place Senior Living.

Basil’s last days were spent doing what he loved, cooking. He enjoyed each and every day with residents and staff at Corky Place Senior Living.

He is preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.

Survivors include daughters, Beth (Butch) Stewart, Mary Carr (Greg James); son, Doug Carr; siblings, Dolores, Doug, and Jerry; and grandchildren, Josh, Jasmine, Jerad, Charlie, and Courtney,; fourteen great-grandchildren; and friend, Jeff Sollars, his Best Pal.’

Dolores Agnes Fennewald, 75, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Dolores was born on January 4, 1938 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Joseph J. and Anna J. (Stock) Sosinski. Dolores graduated from St. Francis Xavier Grade School and the Convent of the Sacred Heart. She also attended St. Joseph Junior College. She was employed at the Mechanic’s Bank and also worked at the Hereford Journal in Kansas City.

Dolores married John H. Fennewald on September 29, 1962. Following the birth of her first child, she became a devoted stay at home mom. As a strong supporter of catholic education, she guided her children through St. Francis Xavier Grade School and Bishop LeBlond High School.

Dolores was a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was actively involved in many church and school activities including the Daughters of Isabella, Ladies of Charity, St. Francis Altar Society and Sacred Heart Alumni. She also served on the St. Francis Funeral Luncheon and Prayer List Committees.

During her lifetime, Dolores was an avid bowler, walker, bridge player and fan of Mizzou sports and Chiefs football. She also enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to travel abroad on a number of occasions. Everyone enjoyed her wonderful cooking. Most of all, she loved being a grandma and spending time with her family and friends.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John, of the home; four children, Vicki Phillips and husband, Jim, of Urbandale, Iowa; Stacey Treu and husband, Bill, of Bellevue, Nebraska; Julie Fennewald, of Lenexa, Kansas; Mark Fennewald and wife, Amy, of Greenwood, Missouri; grandchildren, Ashley Phillips; Christopher, Jeffrey and Jessica Treu; and Afton and Zachary Fennewald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at Noon on Monday Daughters of Isabella/ Ladies of Charity Rosary will be recited at 4:00 PM and a Parish Rosary will be recited at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel at 6:00 PM Monday with the family receiving friends until 8:00 PM.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Fennewald Family Academic Excellence Fund at Bishop LeBlond High School or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Dale was born September 5, 1961 in King City, MO, son of Rozella (Duley) and Carl G. Phillips. He graduated from Stanberry high school 1979. He currently works at Stillwater Central Railroad, Oklahoma City, OK. He also formerly worked at Herzog St. Joseph, MO. He spent most of his working life on the railroad and traveling across the United States. He will be greatly missed by the “Ole Railroaders”. Dale enjoyed hunting & fishing and most of all the time he spent with his faithful companions, Rex, Gracie and Sam, they will be lost without him. On May 4, 1996 he married the love of his life Sheila Garrett in St. Joseph, MO, she survives of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Doyle A. Phillips. Survivors include, wife, Sheila of the home, three sons Cory Phillips, Cameron, MO, Ryen Phillips, Rea, MO, and Micah Phillips, Savannah, MO, three step-sons, Dustin (Sarah) Smith of Buffalo, MO, Troy (Linzee) Smith of Elkland, MO, and Jeremiah Sweet of St. Joseph, MO, a step-daughter, Marie Scurlock of St. Joseph, MO, a brother, Darryl (Lorraine) Phillips of Toolie, UT, and a sister, Carolyn (Leon) Messner of Albany, MO as well as grandchildren, Ethan, Draco, Drew, Tristian, Mela, Kayleigh, Carley, Rayden, Mazie, Charlie, and one on the way in November, and several nieces, nephews, and many close friends.

She enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time with grandkids, and she like to go shopping. Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery Jones, her parents, and a grandson, Keenan Frisch.
