MARYVILLE, Mo. – Barbara June McIntyre, 84, formerly of Elmo, Missouri died Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Village Care Center, Inc, Maryville.
Barbara was born June 2, 1930, in Elmo, Mo.,i to Galen and Nora Horn Neff. Barbara married Kenneth McIntyre October 16, 1948, at Blanchard, Iowa. Kenneth preceded her in death October 17, 2010.
A 1948 graduate of Elmo High School, she had been a CNA at Golden Living Care Center, Maryville, and a member of the Elmo United Methodist Church.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; sons, John Henry McIntyre and Larry Wayne McIntyre; brothers, Richard and Henry Neff; and sister, Gladys Beckel.
Survivors include: daughters, Joyce (James) Smith, Irma Copeland, Carol L. McIntyre, all of Maryville; and Dianna (Les) Linville, Skidmore, Mo., and son, George McIntyre, Kimallton, Iowa; sisters, Loeva Brown, Ephrata, Wash., and Carolyn Hamm, Yakima, Wash.; ten grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Barbara’s body has been cremated. A Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Friday, January 9, at Price Funeral Home, Maryville. There will be a luncheon and time of visitation after the service at 622 West Edwards, Maryville.

ST. JOSEPH – Rosemarie Komer, 76, died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born May 5, 1938 to Rudolf and Florine (Maurer) Forner in Weisbaden, Germany.
Rosemarie married Harry A. Komer on June 30, 1961 in Darmstadt, Germany. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2009.
She worked at Peachtree Doors in her younger years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was very giving and loved her family very much. Rosemarie was proud of her German heritage and enjoyed cooking.
Mrs. Komer was also preceded in death by her parents.

He was born March 27, 1954 to Leonard and Roberta Rafter in Leavenworth, Kan.
Patrick married Deborah J. Perkins on May 8, 1990.
He was an over the road driver for BRW Express for twenty years and attended Word of Life Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

ST. JOSEPH – Greta E. Crockett, 62, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at her residence.
She was born August 19, 1952 to Kelley and Arlene (Melchert) Crockett in Kansas City, Kan.
Greta was the Director of Nursing at several Kansas City area hospitals throughout her career. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity. Greta was an accomplished singer and musician and also acted in her younger years. She was an animal lover and enjoyed rehabbing old houses. Her wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cary Schly; and nephew, Todd Crockett.

ST. JOSEPH – Mary Gonzales Rocha, 82, passed away Monday, January 5, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family.
Mary was born March 25, 1932, in Atchison, Kan. The daughter of Julian and Aniceta Rodriguez Gonzales.
Mary and Robert Rocha were united in marriage on June 18, 1960, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Atchison.
Mr. Rocha preceded her in death on June 14, 1983. Mary was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in St. Joseph. She was very active in her parish, especially during the Mexican Fiestas. In 1983, she received the Bishop’s Recognition Award for outstanding work in the church. Mary worked at Barbosa’s Restaurant and retired from Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include: two daughters, Teresa Bobela (Dave) and Lisa Gann, both of St. Joseph; three sons, Raymond Rocha and Robert (Guy) Rocha (Jodie), St. Joseph, and Fr. Richard Rocha, Kansas City, Mo.; four grandsons, Ryan Rocha, Ross Rocha, Austen Rocha, and Matthew Bobela; and one granddaughter, Micaila Gann; and two sisters, Andrea Contreras and Cecilia Hiner, Atchison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; eight brothers, Gumesendo (Gummie), Gregory, Erminio (Frank), Porfidio, Paul (Shorty), Joe, Galdino (Max), and Guadalupe (Lupi); and two sisters, Juanita Raymos and Beatrice Koehler.

SAVANNAH, Mo. – Wanda Suanna Garr, 49, of passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care Center.
She was born May 30, 1965 in Harrisonville, Mo., daughter of Ramona and Ralph Ragan. She graduated from Putnam County high school, Unionville, and Vatterott College, where she studied Front Office Management, and respiratory therapy, and Phlebotomy.
She worked at the Plazma Biological service as a Phlebotomist. She was a dedicated and compassionate person, always helping other people, and was a member of Assembly of God Church.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents.

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Hazel Louise Milligan, 92, died December 29, 2014, at Parkdale Manor Care Center, Maryville.
Hazel was born April 18, 1922, in St. Joseph, to Hiram Ennels and Callie May (Owens) Hurst.
A 1940 graduate of the Graham High School, Hazel was a homemaker.
She married James Francis Kenney June 7, 1945. He passed away March 7, 1964. She then married John E. Milligan June 19, 1965. He passed away July 28, 1999. After his death she resided in Autumn House, prior to living at Parkdale Manor.
Hazel became a charter member of the Church of the Nazarene, Maryville in 1945. She enjoyed her church family and caring for children.
Preceding in death were her first and second husbands; her parents; brother, Lincoln Leroy Hurst; sister, Marguerite Atkins; and an infant brother.
Several nieces and nephews survive.
Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2014, Church of the Nazarene, Maryville.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday also at the Church, with burial following in Rose Hill Cemetery, Parnell, Mo.

ST. JOSEPH – Orris L. Langley, 82, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 in a Kansas City, Mo., hospital. He was born June 29, 1932 in St. Joseph, son of Nora and Thomas Langley.
He graduated from Benton High School class of 1950 and married Almeda Grable on December 31, 1953 celebrating 60 years together. He served in the Army and is a veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Seitz meat packing in the Luncheon Meat department retiring after 28 years of service. He liked to dance in his younger years and also enjoyed baseball, but most especially he was a wonderful father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family.He was a member of the American Legion, and for a short time with the Air National Guard and a member of the former Hyde Valley United Methodist.
Orris was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Dennis Ray Langley.

She was born March 15, 1928 to Ora and Cora (Marquis) Brouhard in St. Joseph.
Maxine married Doyle C. Parham April 4, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1984.
She had worked for Noma Lights and Motel Six. Maxine was a religious lady who cared about others and family was the most important thing to her. She was known to feed the homeless and was always there for people in a time of need.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Edna Butterfield and Dorothy Kuzler; brother, Wayne “Pete” Brouhard; children, Jakey Cogdill and Alma Stiglic; and grandchildren, Erin and Skyler Walker, Michela Cummings, Brandon and Arieonna Stallsworth.

Loyal married John W. Oxley January 20, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1990. Loyal married George Smith in January of 1992 and he also preceded her in death in 2006.
She held a secretarial position with Quaker Oats. Loyal was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church and was an avid bridge player.

He was born June 12, 1927 to George and Anna (Buetzer) Nauman in Holt County, Mo.
Pete married Norma Marti on October 7, 1960. She survives of the home.
He raised registered Hereford Cattle on his farm and was known by many as a gentle giant.

ST. JOSEPH – Lorree Oliver, 90, died Monday, December 15, 2014 at a local healthcare facility. She was born June 17, 1924 to Harley and Lottie Collier in Albany, Mo.
On December 2, 1945, Lorree married her high school sweetheart, Robert F. Oliver. The two had a close and joyous relationship until his sudden passing on November 25, 1996.
Lorree worked side by side with her husband, Bob, at both the bank in King City, Mo., and the Farmer’s Bank of Maysville, Mo. She is very strong in her religious beliefs and was an active member in the Maysville Christian Church and transferred her membership to Wyatt Park Christian Church when she moved to St. Joseph after the passing of Bob. Lorree has been a member of the P.E.O. since 1948.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Orvin and Dorsey Collier; sisters, Cova Spiking and Colleen Gillip; and grandson, Christopher Livingston.

Mike married Lynn (Pratt) Brown on July 4, 2014. She survives of the home. He was a handyman for everyone and liked KU and the Kansas City Chiefs. Mike enjoyed pheasant hunting and building hot rods. He also liked to drag race and go to car shows.

ST. JOSEPH – Libby (Polsky) Farber, 92, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014. She was born January 10, 1922, to Benjamin and Bessie (Galler) Polsky.
Libby graduated from Central High School and St. Joseph Junior College. After WWII, she met a returning veteran, Hymie Farber, who became her husband on September 22, 1946. 
Libby loved to entertain. Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by family and friends. She loved to dance, and she and Hymie were excellent dancers. She also loved to play duplicate bridge. Both Libby and Hymie became Life Masters and traveled to bridge tournaments around the country.
Libby will be remembered as a phenomenal mother, grandmother, and friend.  Her daughters were her life, and when her grandchildren came along, she gave them all unconditional love. She was a role model for what a mother and grandmother should be.  
Everyone loved Libby. Besides her many close friends, she had a special bond with her sister Sylvia. They were each other’s companion and confidante.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Morris, Milton, and Simon Polsky; and sister, Sylvia Kaplan.

She was born July 30, 1946 to Estell “E.C.” and Ida May (Gregory) Grooms in St. Joseph. Caroleen married Mike Violett on October 20, 1972 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Easton, Mo. He survives of the home.
She was a graduate of Bishop LeBlond High School Class of 1964 and Platt-Gard Business College. Caroleen was an Administrative Assistant for many years ending her career at the University of Missouri Extension Regional Office.
Mrs. Violett was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where she volunteered for many years on the St. Anne’s Altar Society. She was also active as a volunteer with Pack & Troop 31 at St. Francis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Janet Strub and Barbara Bonjean; and brother, Dennis Grooms.

ST. JOSEPH – Wilma “Peggy” R. Horsman, 92, formerly of Clarksdale, Mo., passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at her home.
She was born November 20, 1922 in Amity, Mo., and the daughter of Ruby (Wagers) and Frank Snuffer. She graduated from Roberts School and married Frank “Bud” Horsman. To this union they had ten children. She was a homemaker. She drove a Head Start bus for a number of years and also worked at the library in Maysville, Mo. She was an active member of the OATS Board in Maysville and DeKalb County Senior Citizen Center until health issues slowed her down.
Peggy collected Owls and liked to read her Louis Lamour books. Her favorite pastime was going to the dances in St. Joseph, Oregon, Mo., Fillmore, Mo., Savannah, Mo., Chillicothe, Mo. Peggy loved calling Square dances and the Virginia Reel. She also enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and quilting.
Peggy was preceded in death by husband, Frank “Bud” Horsman; her parents; an infant child; two brothers and sister-in-law, Thomas Snuffer, Frank (Rosalie) Snuffer; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Helen (Bill) Evans, and Doris (Lloyd) Lewallen; her long time companion, Allen Willoughby; two son-in-laws, Donald Fitzpatrick and Harry Justus; three grandchildren, Rodney, Scott and Rochelle Justus.

Alan married Nancy Sue Clark January 17, 1954, in Maryville. He was a technician with Sprint Telephone Company for 44 years before retiring. He attended the Maryville First Christian Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Sue Hilsabeck (June 1, 2009); son, Roger Hilsabeck; and four brothers: Courtney, Ivelle, Edward and Gary Hilsabeck.

CHILLICOTHE, Mo. – Martha Michealeni Stevens, 83, formerly of Quitman, Mo., died December 10, 2014, at Headrick Medical Center, Chillicothe.
Martha was born July 17, 1931, in Maryville, Mo., to Walker Hiram and Della Inez (Adkins) Dredge.
A 1949 graduate of Maryville High School, she was a cook for the Quitman High School until retirement.
She married Robert Stevens on November 1, 1949, in Maryville, who preceded her in death January 2, 1998.
Preceding in death: her husband, Robert; daughter, Michelle R. Peiffer-Stevens; brothers, Paul and Harlan Dredge; and sisters, Lathella Zimmerman, Kathryn Alexander, Emma Bledsoe, and Evelyn Dredge.
Survivors include: son, James William (Carla) Stevens, Quitman, Mo.; daughter, Gwendolyn Gail (Timothy) Gatson, Chillicothe; Stacy Evans; Shantel Stevens; James Stevens; Shevone Stevens; Dr. Jennifer Mercer; Jacob Lewis; Joseph Stevens; and Shelby Stevens; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 12, at the Price Funeral Home Chapel, Maryville. After the visitation, Martha will be cremated. Graveside Memorial Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, December 15, at the Quitman Cemetery, Quitman.

SAVANNAH, Mo. – Christopher O’Callaghan, 57, passed away Tuesday December 9, 2014.
Born July 2, 1957 in Salem, Ore., son of Elizabeth and Marion O’Callaghan.
His parents precede him in death.

ST. JOSEPH – Janet L. Kunicich, 84, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at a healthcare facility in Maryville, Mo.
Janet was born January 20, 1930 to William and Zelma (Bowers) Cotter in Artesia, Calif.
She married William Frank Kunicich in 1948. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1985.
Mrs. Kunicich was a homemaker. She supported The Veterans of Foreign Wars and Humane Society which were important to her.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dorothy Corbett, Bill Cotter, Buddy Cotter, Shirley Myers; and nephew, Greg Myers.
Survivors: nieces, Balinda Davis (Michael), Sherry Rogman (John) and Penny Cerniglia (John); nephews, Glenn Myers (Yvonna) and Randall Myers (Betty); and numerous other nieces and nephews in California.

ST. JOSEPH – Darla M. Bailey, 53, passed away Monday, December 8,2014 at Mosiac Life Center.
Darla was born September 19, 1961 to Robert and Bobbie Elder in St. Joseph.
She graduated from Central High School and attended Sparta United Methodist Church in Sparta, Mo. Darla was a strong woman and a wonderful mother. Her world revolved around Danielle. She was always supportive, never judged and was a best friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Vonda Elder.
Survivors: daughter, Danielle Bailey; sister, Regina Power; brothers, Jeffery and Shawn Elder.
