Kala Renae Tichenor

Tichenor, Kala. obitphotoKala Renae Tichenor
1981-2013

Kala Renae Tichenor, 31, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, October 27, 2013.
She was born to Jerry and Bitsy Tichenor in the midst of a snow storm on December 18, 1981. She is their joy.
Kala attended Central high School where she was the athletic trainer. It was there that she found her love for taking care of people, later becoming a flight EMT for Children’s Mercy Hospital.
As an artist, Kala’s memory will live on in the paintings that she created through her true passion.
Kala touched our souls with her love, passion, and devotion. Her free spirit shone through her beautiful green eyes in a goofy, clumsy, happy dance way. She will always remain our family, friend, and loyal protector.
Survivors: mother, Bitsy Tichenor; father Jerry Tichenor (Joyce); brother, Michael Tichenor (Alecia); nephews, Austin and Ross Tichenor; aunt, Sharon Landis; and cousins, Kristen Glunt and Kara White.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Care provided by Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that in honor of Kala’s memory you extend to a stranger or someone you love the spirit of kindness and compassion that lived in her heart.
