Judith (Geiger) Lemmon, 78, St. Joseph, Missouri died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at a Living Community of St. Joseph.

She was born March 23, 1935 to Courtland and Helena (Jeffrey) Ford in San Francisco, California.

She married Paul L. Geiger, Sr. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2001. She then married William Robert Lemmon in 2004. He survives of the home.

Judith worked as a supervisor and retired from American Angus Association. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, a “Dune Dolly” with Moila Shrine, and served on her High School Reunion Committee.

She loved to dance, travel, camping trips, and the lake life. Most of all she loved her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Additional Survivors: children, Skip Geiger, Jr. (Judith), Sue Anne Shobe (Shawn), Ronnie Geiger (Tarry), Steven Geiger (Jill), and Lori Annigian (Steve); stepdaughters, Bert and Rita; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Jeff Speaker (Kay); brother-in-law, Phil Geiger (Kathie); and many nieces and nephews.

She was born June 25, 1941 in St. Joseph, MO, daughter of Ruby and Ross Quigley. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelors Degree. Pat taught English Literature at Benton high school for 30 years and was a substitute teacher at Elwood School for 10 years. She was a member of PEO Chapter HC, ADK and Red Hats. Pat was a Baptist. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Ross & Ruby C. Quigley. Survivors include, husband, Michael G. Dulcan of the home, daughter, Kathleen M. (Donald) George of St. Joseph, MO, son, Michael R. Dulcan of St. Joseph, MO, brother, Mike (Sarah) Quigley of Sun City West, AZ, two nieces, Christine Quigley of Mt. Dora, FL and Melissa Heilweil of Redmond, WA, sister-in-law, Nancy (Frank) Phillips and two brother-in-laws, Thomas (Wanda) Dulcan and Denis (Una) Dulcan, all of St. Joseph, MO.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am, on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Father Evan Harkins officiating. Tom Million, Sr., 79, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 7, 1934 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Wilbur and Verna (Bell) Million.
Tom married Ramona Winifred Butler on December 5, 1953. She survives of the home.
Mr. Million joined the United States Navy at age 17 and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Tom was employed with Pepsi Cola for 15 years and later retired from the St. Joseph School District.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Virgil and Wilbur “Bud” Million; sister, Mary Duguid; and great-grandson, Kyle Stiner.
Survivors: wife, Ramona; sons, Thomas Million, Jr. (Paulette) and Timothy Million; daughters, Diana Bokay (Tim) and Jean Johnson; sister, Betty Giannetta; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; great-great-grandson all of St. Joseph, Missouri; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Margaret Kathryn (Clark) Salanski

Margaret Salanski, age 78, from St. Joseph, Missouri, died at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri on October 19, 2013. Although her health had been faltering for several years, it was the love of her family that kept her striving for life to the end.
Margaret was born May 25, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri to Kenneth and Margaret (Fitts) Clark. She was a graduate of Paseo High School and recently attended her 60 year reunion. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a BA from the School of Education. She was a member of Delta Gamma Social Sorority. While at KU, she met her lifelong partner, Charles “Bud” Salanski. They were married on August 25, 1956.
After moving to St. Joseph, Missouri in 1957, Margaret became involved in the community. She was active in Chapter BP of PEO, holding almost all offices, and was honored as a Golden Girl for 50 years of membership. She was a member of the Heartland Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, where she earned the designation of Emeritus Member in January 2012. She was active in the Auxiliary’s Cattle Baron’s Ball and was instrumental in the growth of the hospital Gift Shop. She was a Life Service Elder at Wyatt Park Christian Church. She served on the boards at both the YWCA and YMCA where she was most known for her work on their annual fundraising campaigns. Margaret was also a lover of the arts. She enjoyed and supported the symphony and art gallery. She and Bud received membership in the President’s Circle Western League for Excellence in 2009.
Margaret played both tennis and golf. She was active in city wide golf, as well as Ladies Golf at St. Joseph Country Club. She took great pride in making a hole in one at Fairview County Club during a city tournament. She also enjoyed scotch foursome play with her husband Bud.
Margaret’s ultimate joy in life was her family. She and Bud celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this past August with their children and grandchildren. The whole family shared a love of KU sporting events and had many a tailgate over the years. For 52 years the entire family spent a week each summer at Bull Shoals Lake in southern Missouri. She strived to attend as many of her grandchildren’s events as possible, always bragging about their accomplishments. She was truly loved by all of them.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Charles “Bud” Salanski of the home; children, Stephen Salanski (Phyllis) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Kim Salanski of Olathe, Kansas, and Pam Singer (Tolan) of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Doug Salanski (Jill), Kristin Chandler (Jonathan), Abbigail Singer, Noah Singer, and Kaitlin Salanski. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ann Farris (Robert) and family and her sister in law, Stephanie FitzSimmons (James) and family.
Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Meierhoffer Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. A celebration of her life will take place at 11:00 am at Wyatt Park Christian Church. He was born October 19, 2013 to Shawn “LB” and Megan Lewis in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Donald D. Wilfong

Donald Dean Wilfong, 64, of Savannah, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on November 7, 1948 to Clifford and Wilma Wilfong in Wathena, KS.

He was a 1967 graduate of Stanberry High School and also a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving overseas in Germany.

Donald worked at Johnson Controls for 35 years before retiring in December 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Wilfong and daughter- in-law, Lorena Wilfong.

On June 11, 1971 he married his wife of 42 years, Marilyn Bennett, who survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons, Russell of El Paso, Texas and Curtis of St. Joseph. One daughter, Amanda Wilfong, of St. Joseph; one brother, Clifford Jr., of Bloomer, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Chantell, Skyler, Jayden and Mark.

Graveside service and interment will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. A precession from the funeral home to the cemetery will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Clark-Sampson Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Stanley M. Soliday

1929-2013

Stanley M. Soliday, 84, died peacefully at the Cameron, Missouri VA on Monday, October 14, 2013.
Stanley was born in Logan, Ohio in 1929 and served in the United States Army from 1953-1956 before returning to graduate school to earn his PhD in Psychology at the Ohio State University in 1964.
He taught at Lamar University in Texas and at North Carolina State University. He also worked as Chief Psychologist at Larned State Hospital in Kansas and as Assistant Superintendent of the Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center until 1997.
Survivors: loving spouse of sixty years, Nancy Soliday, St. Joseph, Missouri; children, Stanley Soliday, Jr., Carson City, Nevada, Dr. Elizabeth Soliday, Vancouver, Washington, and Dr. Mary Soliday, Oakland, California; and four grandchildren.

Kathryn I. Davis, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 18, 1925 in Helena, Missouri to Ralph R. and Olive A. (Hitzelberger) Noe.
She married Virgil O. Davis on January 28, 1947. He preceded her in death.
Kathryn was a real estate agent and enjoyed renovating and redecorating homes.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church, Missouri Association of Realtors and Eastern Star Radiant Chapter.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: son, Scott Davis (Karen), Brandon, Mississippi; daughter, Rebecca Pressly (Paul), Olathe, Kansas; brother-in-law and best friend, Lloyd Davis; sister-in-law, Gladys Newton; one niece and one nephew; and cat, Missy .

She attended Benton high school, then married Jim Crockett FEbruary 14, 1975 and he survives of the home. She worked at Commerce Bank as a Bank Teller. She was active in Renaissance Festival in Kansas City, also enjoyed flower design, crocheting, and was an avid reader, and a member of St. Francis Xavier. Angela was preceded in death by her father Eugene Drag, and mother Doris Wasson. Survivors include husband, Jim Crockett of the home, two sons, Jason Crocket and his wife Deena, Joshua Crockett and his companion Dorothy all of Kansas City, MO, a daughter, Alaina Crockett of St. Joseph, MO, a grandson, Jacob Crockett, a brother, Mark Drag and wife Melissa three sisters, Gail Drag, Toni Taylor and husband Rodney of Bolckow, and Mary Rainez and husband Rickof St. Joseph, MO, numerous, nieces & nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at 1:00 pm at the St. Francis Xavier, Father Bill Walter Celebrant.
