The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri observes its third anniversary this week. The milestone comes as foundation president Mary Hinde organizes an event with writer Richard Longworth, author of “Caught in the Middle: America’s Heartland in the Age of Globalism.” Tickets are still available for the January 25th breakfast event at the downtown Holiday Inn.

The Community Foundation was created to improve the lives of Northwest Missouri residents by increasing philanthropy. It was founded November 1st, 2009, and it has $14-million under management in 66 funds. For more information about the Longworth event or the Foundation itself, click here.
