A convicted murderer waived a preliminary hearing in a child molestation case that allegedly occurred a month after he was paroled to Joplin.
Forty-one-year-old Olen L. Robinson waived the hearing Wednesday in Jasper County Circuit Court and was ordered bound over for trial.
He’s charged with two counts of first-degree child molestation.
Robinson was arrested Feb. 27 after an 11-year-old girl reported he had inappropriate contact with her.
Robinson had been on parole for only a month when he was accused. He was serving a 16-year sentenced for second-degree murder in the 1998 beating death of a man outside a bar in Springfield.
