Robert (Bob) Paul Jornayvaz, Jr., 84, Temple, Texas formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri and San Antonio, Texas died June 25, 2013 after a long illness.

He was born in St. Joseph on January 10, 1929. He was the grandson of Michael K. and Lena Goetz of St. Joseph, founders of the former Goetz Brewery.

He was married to Rosalie Meluney of St. Joseph. Bob was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather having spent his time making sure everyone benefited from his superb cooking which he was
famous for.

He was a graduate of the 1947 Class of Central high School, St. Joseph, Missouri and the University of Kansas, Topeka, Kansas. He was employed by the Goetz Brewing Company until it’s sale to the Pearl
brewing Company in San Antonio where he became the Vice-President of Marketing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Paul and Mildred (Goetz) Jornayvaz; and sister, Mildred “Middo” Jornayvaz Tusher.  He is survived by his loving sons, Paul Eugene Jornayvaz and wife  Mary of Houston, and Robert Paul Jornayvaz, III, and his wife Louisa of Denver, Colorado; and nieces Marcie Tusher and Jennifer L. Hopkins. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Graveside Service and Entombment: 3:00 P.M. Thursday, Ashland Mausoleum, St. Joseph, Missouri.
