Continuing hot forecasts have prompted another early release for students in the St Joseph School District. The district released classes three hours early Monday because of forecasts in the mid to upper nineties.

The National Weather Service forecast on Tuesday was for more of the same, so the school district has announced another early release.

The heat index was expected to top 100 degrees.
