At HyVee in St Joseph, store officials report rapid progress on the new gas station and convenience store under construction.

Store Director Brad McAnally says the grand opening is scheduled December 3, but he says you might see it open a few days before that “just for practice.”

A wind storm about two months ago presented a setback, but McAnally says it was only a small one.

“Maybe just a week or two, that’s about it, so not a big deal,” McAnally said.

“The grand opening is December 3, so be ready.”

Store customers have been redeeming their HyVee gasoline discounts at local Casey’s General Stores. Those discounts will be honored at the HyVee facility when it opens.
