LaVerna Village in Savannah has won a quality excellence award for wound treatment. The nursing facility experienced less than 5 percent acquired pressure ulcers annually, which is better than 92 percent of long-term care facilities in Missouri. The average time to heal was 28 days compared to the national average of 64.

The first annual Quality Excellence award was presented by Mobile Wound Solutions of Kansas City.
