According to the National Weather Service, the 6am temp in KC   was  -6⁰.    A new record low, the 8th below zero temp in March records (4th coldest).

KC has had below zero temps in December, January, February, and March. This has only happened 2 other times. ’79-’80 and ’61-’62.
