KANAAS CITY -A teenager was injured in a Thursday crash in Wyandotte County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Kia Optima driven by Madeline Elanor Mcauliffe, 19, Prairie Village, was westbound on I-70 at mile post 423-Minnesota Avenue driving too fast. The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck the bridge rails.

Mcauliffe was transported to KU Medical Center.

The KHP reported she was properly restrained.
