ST. JOSEPH – Nader Ghaidi, 57, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 23, 1956 to Abdollah and Fatemeh Ghaidi in Tehran, Iran.
He married Shahin Jahangard on August 15, 2000 in Iran. She survives of the home.
Nader worked for Aramark for fifteen years as a Chef Manager. He was a long time wrestling coach and made the Olympic wrestling team in Iran. Nader was a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was a master ice sculptor that could sculpt anything out of ice.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Additional Survivors: sons, Nasir L. Ghaidi (Gail), Amir W. Ghaidi (Amanda) and Reza C. Ghaidi; grandchildren, Jasper, Leon, Allie, Laila and Grace; mother; two brothers; and two sisters.

CLARKSDALE, Mo. – Mardell Ann Atha, 94, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in a St. Joseph health care center. She was born March 20, 1920 in Nevada, Mo. She is the daughter of Dollie and Peter Nolan. She was a Homemaker. Mardell was preceded in death by first husband, Buck Carter; second husband, Robert Atha; her parents; a daughter, Ollie Harris; two sons, Larry Carter, and Jerry Carter; a step-son, Tom Carter; four brothers, Daniel, Harley, Dale, and Cale Nolan; three sisters, Hazel, Ruth Rhoades, and Joy Gregg; and her foster parents, Olive and Hosea Ross.
Survivors include, sons, Charles Carter of Spokane, Wash., and Robin McQueen of St. Joseph; daughter, Velda Logan of Calif.; a brother, Ervin Nolan; five sisters, Helen Springs, Micky Gagnon, Linda Wayman, Patty Gabbert, and Carrie Grooms; granddaughte,r Lanena (Rick) McPherson; grandson, David (Tory) Carter; numerous other grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
