A 16 year old Saint Joseph youth was stabbed during an altercation in front of a residence in the Deer Park area early Monday morning. A 17 year old suspect was taken into custody in connection with the assault.

Police Sergeant Keith Dudley says Heartland Regional Medical Center reported the stabbing at 12:18 am, after the victim had been taken to Heartland by private vehicle. The stabbing is still under investigation.
