Flooding along the Platte River is forcing closures along several roads in Buchanan County.

As of 8:30 a.m. Wednesday the Platte River was at 23.8 feet and is anticipated to crest at 24.8 feet sometime Thursday morning.

Minor flood stage is 20 feet.

Emergency Management Director Bill Brinton announced several road closures Wednesday.

Those closures include part of the following roads:

Mitchell Road
Rock Creek Road
Saxton/Easton Road
