Curtis Jay Attebury
1972-2015

20150914-152717_AtteburycurtisCurtis Jay Attebury 43, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 11, 2015 at Mosaic Life Care Hospital. He was born January 14, 1972 in St. Joseph, MO, son of Madge and Norman Attebury. He graduated from Lafayette high school, and worked in the appliance repair field with his father for many years then most recently at Greg’s Appliance, he also enjoyed the Auction business. He loved sports, football, music and playing the guitar. Curtis was formerly a member East Side Baptist Church. Survivors include, his parents, three sons, Joey (Mary) Burwell of Atchison, KS,
Drew and Luke Attebury of St. Joseph, MO seven brothers and sisters, Mike Attebury of St. Joseph, Debbie (Clarence) Cox of Bethany, MO, Mark Attebury, Norman (Roxanne) Attebury of St. Joseph, MO, Wendy Bray of Port Angeles, WA, Debbie Weir, and Joe Goin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am, on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor Ken Lewis officiating, The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Robin “Bobbi” Sturges
1961-2015

Sturges, Robin. obitphoto Robin “Bobbi” Sturges, 54, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at her home.
She was born January 28, 1961 in LeMars, Iowa.
Bobbi married Charles William Sturges on December 22, 1978. He survives of the home.
She was a graduate of LeMars Community High School Class of 1979 and was known for crocheting Afghans and sewing. Bobbi was also an avid fisher.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Mary Moore Sturges. Additional survivors include sons, Dustin Sturges and Josh Sturges; father, Roger Schorg, Pedley, California; mother, Carol Gengler, Remsen, Iowa; sister, Tracy Ellensohn; father-in-law, William S. Sturges; and several nieces and nephews.

Warren “Keith” Widman
1930-2015

Widman, Warren. obitphoto Warren “Keith” Widman, 85, Hiawatha, Kansas passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 at his home.
He was born January 22, 1930 in Hiawatha, Kansas.
He married Dora Benson on December 30, 1950 and were married for 64 years. She survives of the home.
He retired from KU Printing Service at Lawrence, Kansas. Warren was a member of the Christian Center in Hiawatha, where he was an elder. He was also a member of the American Legion Homer White Post #66.
He enjoyed working with his hands and helping anyone in need. Warren loved Kansas Jayhawks basketball and the Kansas City Royals. He especially loved his family and never missed an event in which his great grandchildren participated.
Mr. Widman was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Mabel (Miner) Widman; stepfather, Homer Cline; brothers, Stanley and Melvin Widman and Homer Jr., Dale and Lucian Cline.
Survivors include son, Bob Widman, Gardner, Kansas; daughter, Kathy Goehner (Todd), Atchison, Kansas; grandchildren, Ryan Jones (Bobbie), Rachel Gill (Brett), Kelsey Hayes (Robert), Emillee Chapman, and Amanda, Alexis and Austin Goehner; great-grandchildren, Kate, Maddie and Kyle Jones; Bailey, Drake and Connor Gill; Haiden Hayes and Willow Widman; brother, Larry Widman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Widman was a member of the Kansas Cremation Service. The family will gather with friends in a celebration of life 1:30 to 5:00 P.M., Wednesday, Fisher Center, 201 E. Iowa St, Hiawatha, Kansas. Richard Dean Summers
1950-2015

Summers, Richard. obitphoto Richard Dean Summers, 64, Savannah, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at his home.
He was born December 31, 1950 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Richard proudly served in the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing bingo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dale Summers.
Survivors include wife of 35 years, Connie; mother, Maryann Hale (Charles); siblings, Sandy Foot (Jerry), Danny Summers (Sharon), Tanya Wolf (Bob) and Shawn Hale; daughters, Laurie and Dana; step-children, Amy and Richard; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Raecarol Morgan
1932-2015

Morgan, Raecarol. obitphoto Raecarol Morgan, 83, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born June 15, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Her parents Beatrice Marie Balsinger Morgan and Ray Earl Morgan pre-deceased her, as well as a half-sister, Valery Lynn Bryan.
She was raised and schooled in Troy, Kansas, graduating from Troy High School in 1950. She attended the University of Kansas one year and graduated from Highland Junior College.
She worked in Troy and Portland, Oregon before joining the Department of State, Foreign Service in 1957. She served abroad in La Paz, Bolivia; Cairo, Egypt; Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, Korea; Caracas, Venezuela; Managua, Nicaragua; Vancouver, Canada; and her final post was Seoul, Korea.
After retiring she lived in Washington, D.C. until late 2010 when she moved to the Living Community of St. Joseph.
Survivors include her aunt, Eunice Morgan; and several cousins, Bill Hargis, Barbara Jean Clements, Jaci Crumpler, Dennis, John and Tom Morgan, Sheila Higdon, Mark Morgan and Greg Gustek.
She is also survived by Dan and Inez Duncan and their family; Rob (Annie), Jill and Drue (Liz), who adopted her as “Aunt Fan” many years ago. They took excellent care of her.
The family will gather with friends 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Saturday, Benedictine Hall at Living Community in St. Joseph. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Living Community of St. Joseph, Hands of Hope Hospice or the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph. John Leroy Milbourn
1963-2015

He worked in the construction industry, and enjoyed fishing and singing karaoke, he was a Christian. John was preceded in death by his parents, John LeRoy Milbourn, Sr., and Clara Milbourn. Survivors include; wife, Dana Milbourn of the home, five children: Rachel (Cody) Masoner, Zachary Milbourn, Nicholas Milbourn, Taylor Harrah, and Kaytie Milbourn, 3 grandchildren; Kailey, Mason, and Khloey. He will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
