Suddenlink continues all-digital upgrades

Suddenlink cropSuddenlink said earlier this week it’s nearing completion on the first major phase of a high-speed internet service project in St. Joseph, Savannah, Country Club Village and Agency.

The company said it’s a nearly $250 million “Operation GigaSpeed” national project that will soon make 1 Gigabit per second high-speed internet service available in the area.  The transition is anticipated to be completed on Oct. 13.

As part of that project, Suddenlink said it is upgrading technology in the St. Joseph area that will make way for an all-digital TV lineup.

Due to the upgrade Suddenlink said some customers may need to install HD digital adapters, also known as HD DigitaLinks to enable them to receive the all-digital channel lineup. Customers will not need HD DigitaLinks for TV sets that already have Suddenlink Digital receivers, Suddenlink HD DVRs, HD Digital receivers, TiVo HD DVRs or Suddenlink Cable Cards.
