ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – A resurfacing project on Loop 29 (Belt Highway) in Andrew and Buchanan counties is set to begin Monday evening, July 17.
Crews from Herzog Contracting Corporation, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, plan to resurface the Belt Highway between U.S. Route 59 in Andrew County and U.S. Route 169 (Rochester Road) in Buchanan County.
All work is planned for Monday through Saturday nights between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m., after peak travel times. The schedule may be adjusted as the project progresses. All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
The contractor anticipates that all paving will be completed by July 28 with all pavement marking completed by August 1.
Motorists should be alert and follow all construction signs and message boards. MoDOT encourages all motorists to slow down, buckle up, eliminate distractions and drive safely through work zones to ensure everyone is able to Arrive Alive.
