Temps in the low 80s continue through the week

Below normal temperatures for August will continue through the workweek. Sunny skies today will give way to the next chance for rain on Wednesday into Thursday. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Patchy fog before 10 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming east southeast around 6 mph in the morning.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. Southeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming south southeast around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 65. South southeast wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 64. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
