DAVIESS COUNTY — Five people were injured in an accident just after 8:30p.m. Tuesday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Marquise T. Jones, 35, Trenton, was northbound on Interstate 35 three miles south of Winston. The Chrysler slid on the ice-covered road and collided with a semi that was stationary due to a earlier crash.

Daviess County EMS transported passenger Kayla A. Jones, 26, Trenton, to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. A private vehicle transported Marquise Jones and three children to the hospital. The semi driver from Wisconsin was not injured. All six were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
