Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will be possible this week. This could produce an additional one and a half to three inches of rain which will continue and potentially aggravate ongoing river flooding. Right now it appears the severe potential with most of these storms are low, however, storms on Tuesday night could be strong with a few severe storms possible. Wind will be the main threat. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. East wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. South southeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy, with a low around 65. East southeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Wednesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. South wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.
