DAVIESS COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 6p.m. Sunday in Daviess County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Ford F150 was left in gear while the owner was under the hood attempting to get the pickup to start. When it started, the pickup rolled and ejected and then ran over Alex Rich, 8, Hamilton  who was sitting on the pickup tailgate.

Lifeflight transported Rich to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City.
