K-7 Highway in Doniphan County was reopened to all traffic Monday morning.

The Kansas Department of Transportation closed K-7 the Highway Friday due to rising levels of the Missouri River.

The closure was to all traffic from White Cloud to the Nebraska/Kansas state line due to cresting of the Missouri River.

KDOT said the cresting will produce high flood waters over the roadway.

It said this portion of K-7 runs along the bottom of the Missouri River bluff and is prone to flooding when the river runs full.

As of 7:30 a.m. Monday the highway was back open.
