A St Joseph man was bound over for trial Tuesday on charges that stemmed from the traffic death of his passenger.

Daniel Ray Maddock waived his preliminary hearing on charges of involuntary manslaughter. Police said Mr Maddock was driving under the influence when he crashed at 12th and Church Streets on January 3, killing his passenger Richard Osborne.

Judge Rebecca Spencer refused a motion to reduce Maddock’s $60,000 bail as he awaits trial.

Circuit Court arraignment is scheduled August 10 before Judge Patrick Robb.
