Circuit Court arraignment is scheduled next week for a former St Joseph firefighter charged with the attempted rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Jeremy Wigchert is being held without bail in the Buchanan County Jail on one count of attempted rape.

According to court documents, Mr Wigchert is accused of using sexually-explicit emails to arrange a sexual rendezvous with the victim.

He waived his preliminary hearing earlier this week and is scheduled to appear before judge Daniel Kellogg for formal arraignment March 17th.
