A Savannah man found injured in Andrew County last week after being reported missing has been charged with child molestation.
Tony Lee Snodgrass, 47 was charged Tuesday in Andrew County with two counts of felony first-degree child molestation. One charge stemming from earlier this month, a second from Dec. of 2015.
As we previously reported, Snodgrass was reported missing by his family early last week after the Savannah Police Department said he left his home and no one heard from him. He was located Wednesday with injuries and transported to Mosaic Life Care for evaluation.
According to probable cause documents on May 8 around 1 a.m. Officer Matthew McMillen took a report of a possible sexual assault. The victim reported she had been staying at a friend’s house when the assault took place.
Snodgrass was then taken into police custody.

“I asked him if he remembered anything from the past 24 hours, he told me that he went to Kansas to lay asphalt and then he went to the bar in downtown Savannah to celebrate his birthday with his wife, he said after that he doesn’t remember,” McMillen said.
Court documents said Snodgrass blew a .191 BAC.
A second probable cause statement filed Tuesday, said a woman contacted the Savannah Police Department on Tuesday May 10 in reference to her 10-year-old daughter, alleging Snodgrass abused her.
“On Wednesday 5-11-16, Tony Snodgrass was found in a barn with his neck and wrist cut. At the scene was a note that appeared to be written by Tony Snodgrass,” Chief of Police David Vincent said in court documents. “In that note he says he is sorry for what he did…and that he was drunk and thought it was his wife.”
Snodgrass is being held on $100,000 bail in the Andrew County Jail. As of Tuesday afternoon online court documents do not list a court date.
