The Allied Arts Council in St. Joseph plans a reception and guided tour soon to introduce and unveil the sculptures in this year’s Sculpture Walk.

Officials say they’ve begun installing the first of 17 sculptures which come to us from as far away as New York, New Mexico and Colorado.

A reception and walking tour are in the works for June 10, from 5 to 7 pm. You must RSVP by June 6 (at [email protected]). The event begins at the Radisson Motel downtown. It will feature appetizers and a cash bar, and costs $20 per person ($30 per couple).

The following day, June 11, there’s a free tour starting at one p.m. At the clock tower near Coleman Hawkins Park at 8th & Felix.

You are urged to wear comfortable walking shoes for the tour.
