A teenager from Cameron is dead after a single-vehicle crash Monday night on Southeast Irwin Road.

A crash report from the Missouri State highway Patrol says 17-year-old Taylor Mefford was partially ejected in the crash three miles north of Cameron at about 9:45 p.m. Monday.

Investigators say the driver, 16-year-old Brendan McCarthy, lost control of his vehicle on a curve. The SUV left the roadway and overturned, partially ejecting Mefford.

McCarthy was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
