A Grant City man was seriously injured in a rollover crash Thursday afternoon in DeKalb County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 86-year-old George L. Young was driving a Ford F-150 south on MO 31 four miles north of Clarksdale at 1:45 p.m. The vehicle traveled off the road, back onto the road, and crossed the center line on an uneven newly paved roadway. Young overcorrected the vehicle, which traveled back off the road, hit an embankment, overturned several times and hit a fence before coming to rest on its wheels.

Young was transported by ambulance to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of serious injuries.
