Missouri Gov. Mike Parson says he’s keeping his predecessor Eric Greitens’ ban on lobbyist gifts to executive staffers.

The KC Star reports Parson was the only statewide official to take gifts in 2017:

During his six years in the Missouri Senate, Parson and his staff accepted more than $30,000 worth of lobbyist gifts.

A group of Kansans fail to get enough signatures to establish a new centrist political party in time to for the upcoming general election. The group says it hopes to get the rest of the signatures needed to formally register the party by later this summer, and then focus on recruiting candidates for 2020.

“That unserved, untapped market of people who are lost without a party is just massive,” he said.

Casey Guernsey, a Missouri-based cattleman, said he has fielded questions from a business partner in China over what might come next from Washington on trade.

“It shows a level of angst with our good trade partners,” he said.
