With the wind and #blizzard conditions, it was tough measuring snow, but our helpful COOP observers and many others got it done. So how much did we get?? #mowx #kswx #KC pic.twitter.com/MrY6E1pnGk

From Sunday:
The 5.3″ inches of snow Kansas City received today is the second heaviest single day snow for ANY November day on the 131-year record! The only heavier Nov snow for KC occurred on 11/29/1923 when KC received 9.1″ pic.twitter.com/qVCMQoRPF3

This is the largest one day snowfall (5.3″) total at KCI since Feb 2, 2014 when 7.5″ was recorded. Not too shabby of a storm!#blizzard2018

Today’s 5.3″ shatters the previous daily snowfall record of 3.7″ for Nov 25th set all the way back in 1895!

The @StJosephSchools grounds crew has been working since 6 a.m. to clear piles of snow from district properties. By the time they make it to every building, it’s the equivalent of driving about 500 miles. #ThankYou pic.twitter.com/cR4AC4MAQq
