DEKALB COUNTY— One person died in an accident just after 6p.m. Sunday in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Buick driven by Makenzie F. Garrett, 18, Polo, was westbound on U.S. 36 one mile west of Stewartsville. The driver lost control of the vehicle. It left the road and struck a ditch.

Garrett was transported to the Cameron Hospital. She was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
