Wilmes, MarthaMartha Karen Wilmes, 69, died Monday, May 13, 2013, at her home in Maryville, Missouri.

Martha was born August 11, 1943, in Maryville, Missouri to Harvey and Margaret (Eiberger) Peterson who preceded her in death.

A 1961 graduate of Stanberry R-II High School, Martha was an office manager for United Country Reality, St. Joseph, Missouri.

She married Richard Lee Wilmes on February 7, 1975, in Conception Junction, Missouri.

Martha was a member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church and St. Gregory Guild.

Preceding Martha in death were her parents and sister Carolyn Freeman.

Survivors include her husband Richard Lee Wilmes of their home, Maryville, daughters Cindy (Tim) Lance, Barnard, MO, Kim (Curt) Morrison, Flower Mound, TX, Stephanie (Doug) Spire, Papillion, NE, Kelli Boisen, Clive, IA, son Rick ( fiance Sumer) Wilmes, Stanberry, MO, brothers Wayne (Debbie) Peterson, John (Joanie) Peterson, Don (Pam) Peterson all of Stanberry, Mo, sisters Marilyn (Rich) Reed, Kearney, MO, Elaine Minton, Parkville, MO, Cathy (Dennis Davis) Peterson, King City, MO, niece Jennifer “Jenny” Guerrero, Louisberg, KS who was raised in their home, fourteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

The Parish Prayer Service will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2013 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church prior to the visitation that is to be held from 5:30-8:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Friday, May 17, 2013 at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Stanberry, Missouri.

Memorials may be made to Hands of Hope Hospice and St. Gregory’s Catholic School in Martha’s name.

Judith “Judy” A. Carrithers, 72, Cosby, Missouri died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 9, 1941 to Lowell and Vera (Renfro) Kobler in Marion, Illinois.
Judy married Jim Carrithers, Sr. on December 31, 1960. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Carrithers was an office manager and worked at Brown & Brown, Denver, Colorado until retiring in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Don Kobler.
Survivors: husband; daughter, Julie Madget (Andrew); son, Jim Carrithers, Jr. (Ann); grandsons, Bobby Madget (Megan), Tom Madget (Kelley), Josh Carrithers, and Jerrad Carrithers; sisters, Karen Irvin (Bill) and Sue Crain (Chuck); and two nieces and one nephew.
Private service will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph, Missouri. Care provided by Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory.

Dorothy E. (Ottinger) Patterson, 93, St. Joseph, Missouri went to be with her Lord, Monday, May 13, 2013 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 29, 1919 to James and Carrie (Singer) Ottinger at home in Gower, Missouri.
Dorothy married Rupert “Pat” Patterson on January 27, 1962 in Las Vegas and had been married for 52 years.
Mrs. Patterson was a seamstress at Nelly Don for 20 years until they closed in 1972. She was a Christian and a member of Gower Baptist Church and later Bible Baptist Temple, St. Joseph, Missouri.
She loved to sew, crochet, crewel, and do all kinds of handwork until her sight failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Leo Ottinger.
Survivors: husband; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services: 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, Bible Baptist Temple. Interment Rock House Cemetery, Frazier, Missouri.

Shirley Mae Goldesberry, 75, St. Joseph, Missouri died Monday, May 13, 2013 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born July 11, 1937 to Roy and Charlotte (Nauson) Helton.
Shirley married Marion Goldesberry on July 4, 1956.
She retired from Mead after 28 years.
She was a very generous person, enjoyed helping at daycare centers, loved her family and spending time with her grandson and enjoyed donating school supplies to children each fall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers.
Survivors: husband; daughter, Sabrina Gwaltney (Herb) Atchison, Kansas; son, James Goldesberry, St. Joseph, Missouri; and grandson, Bryson Goldesberry.
