Katy Schwartz-Drowns, a Central High School speech and debate teacher, has received recognition from her colleagues, and from the Missouri Lottery.
The National Forensics League’s “Diamond Award” which recognizes a professional career that combines excellence and longevity.
Schwartz-Drowns will receive the award this June at the National Forensic League National Speech & Debate Tournament in Overland Park, KS.
Schwartz-Drowns also received the Missouri Lottery’s “Star of the Classroom Award” in October. She was nominated by CHS student Baily Cordonnier, and was recognized at the KC Chiefs’ Oct 27 home game.
