MOUND CITY–A Nebraska man was seriously injured in a crash at 1:45 a.m. Friday in Holt County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Dodge Intrepid driven by Sonthana Thongphanh, 43, Nebraska City, NE., was southbound on I-29 at Mound City.

The vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, down an embankment, into a ditch and struck two trees. Lifenet flew Thongphanh to Heartland Regional Medical Center.

The MSHP reported it was unclear if he was properly restrained at the time of the accident.
