Temps in the 70s and 80s through the weekend

A few light rain showers will be possible this morning and will gradually be ending from west to east through the afternoon. Another hot day today with temperatures climbing once again into the low to mid 90s with heat index values in the upper 90s to lower 100s. Heat advisory in effect from noon today through Sunday

Temperatures today and into the weekend will rise into the middle to upper 90s with heat index readings between 100 and 105 degrees. A heat advisory will be in effect from noon on Friday through Sunday at 8 p.m., mainly along and north of I-70. A cold front will approach the area this evening bringing the chance for severe thunderstorms. The main threats with these storms will be for damaging winds and large hail.
