Seasonably cool temperatures will stick with us today through the weekend. There will be the chance for some flurries across northern Missouri today and again Saturday night into Sunday otherwise conditions will be generally dry the next 5 days. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Breezy southerly winds will allow temperatures to warm into the mid 50s to lower 60s across the Metro and central Missouri however, cloud cover and the chance for showers will keep temperatures in the mid 40s across northern Missouri. A cold front will move through the area tonight and temperatures will be much cooler tomorrow and through the rest of the week with highs in the lower 30s to near 40. Widespread dense fog has taken over the area this morning, significantly reducing visibility and could impact the morning commute. As such, a Dense Fog Advisory is in effect through 10 a.m. this morning. The fog is anticipated to lift/clear out by midday, although cloudy skies and perhaps drizzle/light rain will persist. Temperatures will remain above normal for mid-January, with highs ranging in the 40s to 50s. Here’s the 7-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Cloudy skies and a bit of patchy drizzle will linger across the region through the morning hours making today a little cooler than Monday. However, temperatures will return to slowly climbing upwards this week as highs lift into a range more normal for March than January.
