TROY, Kan. – Charley “Tom” Thomas Christian Jr., 64, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at his home.
He was born July 31, 1949 in St. Joseph, and is the son of Eileen and Charley Christian. He worked as a mechanic and welder. He enjoyed raising chickens and poultry.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Suzanna Nold, and Tamara Christian.
Survivors include three sons, Jeremy (Cheryl) Christian, Leonard (Tina) Christian, and Charley Christian; two daughters, Loreal (Russell) Wells, and Ginger Lee; a sister, Mickey J. (Tom) Burkart; and 14 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Tuesday with a memorial service to be held at 2 p.m. at Rupp Funeral Home. He will be cremated under the direction of Rupp Funeral Home. MARYVILLE, Mo. – Harvey Lee McKim, 76, died Monday, June 23, 2014, at his home in Maryville.
Harvey was born January 8, 1938, in New Brighton, Pa., to Harvey Dustin and Mary Thelma (Fhy) McKim.
After graduating from high school and attending college for two years, Harvey was a refinery operator for the ARCO Petroleum Company, Carson, Calif. He married Theresa Ann VanPelt July 9, 1992, in Lakewood, Calif.
Harvey was a member of the Fraser Clan Association for California. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: his wife, Theresa McKim of their home in Maryville; daughter, Judy (Scott) Campbell, New Castle, Pa.; son, Mark Twain McKim, Hope Mills, N.C.; step-sons, George (Stacy) Render, Guilford, Mo., and Wayne (Val Jean) Render, St. Joseph; step-daughters, Terry Tanori, LaMirada, Calif., and Lisa (Larry) Olson, Wyoming, Mich.; five grandchildren, Shannon McKim, Ryan McKim, Andrew Campbell, Kyle McKim, and Nathan Campbell; 14 step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, June 28, at the A.D. Campbell Funeral Home, New Galillee, Pa., with visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service. Burial will be in Rocky Springs Cemetery, New Galillee, Pa.

ST. JOSEPH – Beulah “Boots” Winger, 93, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born May 10, 1921 to James and Zelma (Barnes) Powell in St. Joseph.
Beulah married Bernie Winger on November 24, 1942. He preceded him in death in October 1996.
She was a member of Copeland Baptist Church, DeKalb County Historical Society and had also been active in the Stewartsville Baptist Church. Beulah spent her life teaching children in several area schools and in her churches and continued to lead bible studies in her later years.
Mrs. Winger was also preceded in death by her parents; great-grandson, Spencer Mattson; grandson-in-law, Rob Mattson; sister, Darlene Day; and nephew, Mike Mullen.
Survivors: daughter, Robin Connell (Ken), Stewartsville, Mo.; sons, Hal Winger (Roberta), Medford, Ore., and Barry Winger, Lawson, Mo.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

ST. JOSEPH – Bonnie Marie Winfrey, 74, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014.
She was born July 25, 1939 in St. Joseph, and the daughter of Josephine and Cecil Winfrey. She was the owner operator Bonnie’s Silver Saddle. She enjoyed showing horses at the American Royal, boating at Lake Contrary and Lake of the Ozarks. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two sisters, Beverly Hogan of St. Joseph, and Barbara Jackson of Georgia; a brother, Gary Winfrey of Texas; and many, nieces and nephews.

ST. JOSEPH – Opal Marie Falkenbach, 84, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at a local health care center.
Marie was born September 22, 1929 to Elroy and Hattie (Palmer) Hiskey in Iowa.
Marie lived most of her life in St. Joseph where she spent 47 years of marriage with Wilbur Falkenbach until his passing in 2012. She was a seamstress and worked for several companies.
Marie was a Christian. She had a very kind heart of loved all of her family and friends. She also enjoyed dancing.
Preceding her in death is her husband Wilbur; her parents; four brothers, Edward, Galen, Walter, and Wayne Hiskey and two sisters, Florence (Adams) Cunningham and Mary Iva Banks.
Survivors include two sisters, Laura Ripper of St. Joseph and Verla Jean Newton of Wathena, Kan.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Falkenbach has been cremated under direction of Clark-Sampson Funeral Home. She was born June 19, 1936 to John and Ruth (Robison) Hoffman in St. Joseph.
Shirley married Thomas Clifford Alder on July 17, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1989.
She graduated from Lafayette High School in 1955 and was a housekeeper for the St. Joseph School District for seven years and Country Squire for nine years. Shirley was the Pledge Center Coordinator for Muscular Dystrophy Association for six years, and Past President for the St. Joseph Firefighters Auxilliary.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sherri Alder; and brother-in-law, Roy Jacobs.

WATHENA, Kan. – Gary M. Walts, Jr., 46, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at his home.
He was born December 29, 1967 to Gary and Judy (Duckworth) Walts, Sr., in St. Joseph.
He married Michelle Marie Merritt in 1989. She preceded him in death in August 1991.
Gary was a handyman and worked as a painter. He was an avid hunter, mushroom hunter, and fisherman. Gary lived life to the fullest and on his own terms. He was a good man who would give the shirt off his back to help you. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents; Uncle, Bill; and cousin, Billy.

SAVANNAH, Mo. – Harry B. Frock, 90, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his home.
He was born December 7, 1923 to John and Bertha Frock in Hale, Mo.
He married Helen McCush on October 6, 2004. She survives of the home.
Harry proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and worked at Burlington Northern Railroad for thirty-five years. He was a member of St. John’s Church and the Lion’s Club in Amazonia, Mo.
Mr. Frock was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Birdeen Frock; and daughters, Mary Kay Fox and Dorothy Plaster.

She was born February 10, 1962 in St. Joseph, daughter of Mary and Dennis “Ed” Mace.

ST. JOSEPH – Roger Wayne Wolfing, 80, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
He was born February 13, 1934 to Tom E. and Eurith E. (Palmer) Wolfing.
Roger married Sandra Ann Glauser on January 22, 1964. She survives of the home.
Mr. Wolfing worked as an engineer at Goetz Brewery, St. Joseph State Hospital, and Laverna Village Nursing Home in Savannah, Mo. He proudly served in the United States Army in Korean after the Armistice.
Roger was a Christian and member of the St. Joseph Gruetli Verein Swiss Lodge. He was a loving and kind husband and father.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

GOWER, Mo. – Don Walters, 92, formerly of St. Joseph, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at a local healthcare facility.
He was born June 3, 1922 to Albert and Della (Cline) Walters.
Mr. Walters proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked as an airline mechanic at TWA for 35 years. Following his retirement he returned to farming. Don was a very hard worker and always kept busy with new projects.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Walters; first wife, Evelyn Crump; second wife, Helen Bomar; parents; sisters, Cleva Yager and Helen Poe; and brother, Jim “Bus” Walters.

ST. JOSEPH – Nader Ghaidi, 57, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 23, 1956 to Abdollah and Fatemeh Ghaidi in Tehran, Iran.
He married Shahin Jahangard on August 15, 2000 in Iran. She survives of the home.
Nader worked for Aramark for fifteen years as a Chef Manager. He was a long time wrestling coach and made the Olympic wrestling team in Iran. Nader was a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was a master ice sculptor that could sculpt anything out of ice.
He was preceded in death by his father.

HEMPLE, Mo. – Diane (Danica) Sut Ambrozi, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at her home.
She was born November 1, 1922 in East Chicago, Ind., daughter of Julia and John Sut. She graduated from Washington high school, East Chicago. She moved to St. Joseph in 1943 and met Martin. They married July 5, 1943. During WWII she worked as a welder, she retired from Everett School as the Cafeteria Manager after 15 years of service. She was a wonderful, cook, mother and grandmother. She loved babies, artwork and especially fashion design and designed her own clothes. She loved sports, ran track in high school, played softball, and played volley ball at Everett school with the faculty. She was also very proud of her Catholic faith. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sons, Martin III, Eric, John, Adam, and Dale Ambrozi, a daughter, Rose Marie Ambrozi, and a granddaughter, Rachael Dodds. two brothers, Nick and Jan Sut, and five sisters, Ann, Eleanor, Marilyn, Kay, and Julie.

ST. JOSEPH – Willie Orlean Colson Conrad, known to most as Doll, born April 28, 1914, in Ringling, Okla., died June 8, 2014, in St. Joseph. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Raymond C. Conrad, of Springfield, Mo.
Doll was a lifetime member of the Springfield Museum of Art, served on the board of the Southwest Missouri Museum Association, and served a term as president of the Green County Medical Auxiliary. Doll was a member of First and Calvary Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years, The Bennie Clements Guild and she enjoyed volunteering at her local public television station until she moved to St. Joseph in 2003. Doll was also a member of the Hickory Hills Country Club in Springfield, where she enjoyed golf and bridge.
Doll is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Raymond C. Conrad Jr. and Joed Conrad; daughter and son-in-law Kay Conrad Oldham and Terry Oldham; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Melanie Conrad and her children Jacob, Lilli and Elijah, Katherine Conrad and her children Brenden,Seth and Abigail, Chris Carpenter, Conrad Carpenter, Sarah Carpenter and her son Jack, Amanda Carpenter Durkin her husband Dan and their children Joseph and Johnny, Jennifer Oldham Bertrand and her husband Chris and their son Winston, and Lee Oldham Skoglund and her husband Kyle and their sons Skylar and Gavin; brother Dr. Ted Colson; niece Mary Oberly and her children Sean and Jennifer.

ST. JOSEPH – Florence Stewart “Billie” Vories, 88, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at her home.
She was born on May 11, 1926 to Edwin Holmes “Jack” and Eva Lindley Stewart in St. Joseph, where she has been a resident all her life.
She graduated from Central High School, attended Ward-Belmont College in Nashville, Tenn., Northwestern College in Evanston, Ill., and graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., with a bachelor’s of art degree. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta social sorority.
Florence was employed with the St. Joseph State Hospital for thirty–two years as a psychiatric social worker until she retired in 1988. She was also a life-long member of Christ Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild more than twenty-five years. Florence was devoted to her pets and a friend to all animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Patricia Stewart Rogers.

He was born December 30, 1953 to Monte and Donna (Watson) Engeman in St. Joseph.
He graduated from Central High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was also a member of Operating Engineers Local #101.
Michael was preceded in death by his step-father, Harold Frasher.

She was born January 15, 1972. She was a 1990 graduate of Mid-Buchanan high school. She was a long time employee of Kay Jewelry in the East Hills Mall. Jennifer was preceded in death by sister, Denise Marti, maternal and paternal grandparents.

ST. JOSEPH – Anna “Maxine” Harden, 91, died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at her home.
She was born August 31, 1922 to Charles and Cammie (Wood) Eighinger in Odessa, Mo.
Anna first married Robert Rawlings in 1941 and then married William G. Harden, Jr. on June 13, 1987. He preceded her in death in December 2011.
She was a Teacher’s Aide at Helen Davis State School and her life revolved around her family.
Anna was a member of Wyatt Park Christian Church, where she was in the Keystone Sunday School Class and the Christian Women’s Fellowship, a member of the YMCA, Promenade Square Dance Club and Savannah Sashayers.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard and Ernest Eighinger; and sisters, Gladys Slusher, Hazel Sturgis and Florence Mueller.
Survivors: daughter, Kim Rawlings, St. Joseph; son, Richard Rawlings, St. Joseph; step-daughters, Kathi Harden, Gladstone, Mo., and Mary Ann Sit (Chun), Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She retired as a substitute school teacher from the St. Joseph School District and was an avid bridge player. She liked to visit casinos and enjoyed shopping on HSN and QVC.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling and was most recently crowned the 2014 Queen of Country Squire. She was a member of Wyatt Park Baptist Church.
Margaret “Boo” was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Everett Grace, and second husband, Charles Freeman; her parents; and two step-sons, Mike Freeman, and Gary Freeman; and three, sisters.

ST. JOSEPH – Darla Ruth (Hendricks) Rowlett, one of God’s most faithful servants, passed from this life on Friday, May 30, 2014, at a local hospital. In her final hours, she was surrounded by a multitude of loving family and friends. She was 68 years old.
As a non-smoker, she fought a most courageous ten-year battle against lung cancer. She was an inspiration to all, not only for her strength in fighting her illness, but in her abiding love of Jesus and unwavering faith in God. She is now with the Lord.
Darla was born on August 28, 1945, in St. Joseph, to Kenneth and Darline (Sweigert) Hendricks.
She was a 1963 graduate of Mound City High School. After high school, Darla worked at the Exchange Bank of Mound City before moving to St. Joseph where she began a long career with the American National Bank that ultimately became US Bank. With those institutions, she advanced from the position of teller to Branch Manager at the Belt and Pickett site.
On November 21, 1964, Darla married Gary Eugene Rowlett from Maitland, Mo. This union was graced with three loving children. She raised her children while living in St. Joseph, and, following the loss of her husband, moved to Savannah, Mo., in retirement. Darla loved working with people and helping others. It was not her desire to retire, but her illness demanded it of her.
She was sustained in life by her love of the Lord, and was a member of the Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church, from where many will remember her smiling face greeting them at the door. She was a strong supporter of the faith and a charitable and giving individual known for her positive outlook regardless of strife. She will live in the hearts of all who knew her through her legacy of love and faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a grandson, Robert Fierros; and her uncle, Harold Brohan.
Survivors include two sons, Clifton (Angie) Rowlette and Clark (Heather) Rowlette, St. Joseph; one daughter, Christina (Ted) Fierros, Savannah; sisters, Joella Mehrhof, Emporia, Kan., and Joyce Clark, St. Joseph; brother, Larry (Gwen) Hendricks, Easton, Mo.; grandchildren, T.J.(Heather) Fierros, (Kami) Fierros, Alexander Fierros, Coy Rowlette, Maverick Rowlette, Liberty Rowlette, Garyson Rowlette, T.J. She was born February 18, 1931 to Arthur and Harriet (Law) Fletchall in Allendale, Mo.
Mary married Buford King on May 29, 1953. He survives of the home.
She graduated from King City High School and Gard Business School. Mrs. King retired in 1993 after working for twenty-three years as the secretary at Huffman United Methodist Church, where she was also a member, youth leader and choir mother. She also was a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed sewing, reading and shopping.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alva Fletchall; sisters, Barbara Fletchall, Ruth Clark, Bonnie Bacon, Marie Dorlett and Norma Jean Thorburn.

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Wanda Mae Beggs, 90, passed away May 29, 2014 at Parkdale Manor, Maryville.
Wanda was born September 20, 1923, in Parnell, Mo., to Walter and Velma (Dunn) Paxton. She married Quinton Beggs on May 17, 1941, who preceded her in death in 1999.
In addition to Quinton, Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Lois Morene Sewell, Darleen Kathryn Jacks and Audrey Ann Thornton and son-in-law: Dennis Fetters.
She is survived by her children: Sue Fetters, Carlisle, Iowa; Don Beggs, Kansas City, Mo.; John Beggs and Patricia Stiens, Maryville. She had nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was formerly employed by Northwest Missouri State University. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Past President of Mary Martha Circle, Maryville.
Wanda enjoyed listening to music, flower gardening and working crossword puzzles, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was an accomplished baker and won first prize for her carrot cake.

ST. JOSEPH – Henrietta Mejia, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the home of her son in Broken Arrow, Okla. Henrietta was born on August 7, 1923 in Wathena, Kansas to Harvey L. and Myrtle (Mead) Parker.
She graduated from Wathena High School in 1941 and worked at North American Aircraft during WW II assembling B-25 parts. She later worked for Jersey Cereal.
She married Rudy Mejia on January 31, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2005.
Henrietta was the ultimate stay-at-home Mother in 50s, 60s and 70s, always making sure that her five children were well-fed, their clothes were clean and pressed and they attended church and Sunday school.
She was a member of Marvin McMurry United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, Lindbergh PTA member, home room mother and a lifetime member of the Lafayette Booster Club along with her husband Rudy. She and Rudy and the family ran the concession stand at Krug Pool from 1966 until 1982.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four sisters, three brothers, daughter-in-law, Gywnnie Mejia, grandsons, Matt Mejia and Jayden Underwood.
Surviving family members include sons, David Mejia, St. Joseph, MO.; Rudy Mejia, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Stanley (Barbara) Mejia, Broken Arrow; Mark (Patti) Mejia, Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Luanne (David) Myers, St. Joseph; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey L. She was born May 12, 1925 to Theodore and Ethel (Nauman) Marshall in St. Joseph.
Virginia married Jack Lewis White on January 6, 1946. He preceded her in death in November 2001. She then married Melvin G. Davis. He preceded her in death in 2013.
Virginia was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Moila Needles, St. Joseph Historical Society and the Albrecht – Kemper Museum of Art. She volunteered for United Way and liked to collect antiques, travel and play bridge.
As a mother she refused to listen to physicians and educators regarding her youngest son’s disabilities. With the full support of her husband, Jack, she saw that Jeff received a complete education, graduated from high school and lived a good life with the love and support of family.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, David Jeffrey White; sisters, June Nauman Oppenheim and Thedora Marshall; and brothers, David and John Marshall.

ST. JOSEPH – Mildred “Millie” Marie Anderson Humphreys, 89, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born September 17, 1924 to Arthur W. and Ellen Marie (Walstead) Anderson on the Anderson Farms in Forman, N.D.
Millie attended the University of North Dakota, she deferred college to become a World War II bride. She married her college sweetheart, 2nd Lt. Roy L. Humphreys, Jr., U.S. Army in 1943. While Roy was deployed to Europe, Millie attended the University of Minnesota and finished her bachelor’s degree at North Dakota State University.
Roy became a F.B.I agent stationed in St. Joseph from 1954 to 1976. She stayed at home for 18 years caring for their children. When the oldest enrolled in college and the youngest was in first grade, Millie started teaching. She taught in Easton, Mo., for 1.5 years and at Benton High School, St. Joseph for 14.5 years.
Mr. Humphreys served for the State Legislature for six years. After his passing, Mrs. Humphreys ran for and was elected to his vacant seat with the State Legislature and served for ten years from 1985 to 1995. Millie considered this a privilege and also a civic responsibility.
She had a love for learning and especially enjoyed traveling and studying those countries and states she visited. Millie had been to all 50 states and all of the world’s continents, except Antarctica. She also attended language schools in Mexico, France and Sweden.
As a Rotarian who loved to travel, Millie carried the Rotary Banner with her and took it to numerous Rotary Clubs in the foreign countries she visited.
She loved to travel by train and took the Trans-Canadian from the Pacific to the Atlantic saying, “Yes, it takes longer, but it’s like a continuing National Geographic pictorial.” She wrote about her travels and they were featured in local newspapers.
She enjoyed party bridge, but liked the challenge of duplicate bridge and was a member of a bridge group.
Mostly, she loved her family and enjoyed hosting family dinners. She was proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and showed her support by attending school functions and numerous sporting events, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, football, golf and swimming.
She loved her late husband, her children and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, the Lord and also extended family and friends.
Millie was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church, Downtown Rotary Club, Runcie Club, Moila Club, and Ambassadors MWSU. She was a past President of Eugene Field PTA, past President of Central High School PTA, past member of St. Joseph Country Club, and a past member of the Chamber of Commerce.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Eleanor Aarestad (Erwin); brother, Gordon Anderson (Melodie); and daughter-in-law, Ann Humphreys.

Cecilia Agnes Farmer
ST. JOSEPH – Cecilia Agnes Farmer, was born September 26, 1920 to Scottish parentage and entered into the presence of her precious Lord April 17, 2014. She married Harold Farmer on May 14, 1960. He preceded her in death in 1985. Cecilia had a full life, serving as a missionary in Nigeria West Africa for 25 years, and after Harold’s death served in Alaska for 21 years.
Cecilia is survived by her two daughters Heather Farmer, Heidi Gerdes (Daniel) and granddaughters Anastasia and Moriah all from Springfield, Va.

ST. JOSEPH – Eleanor Jean (Gillette) Stracener, 83, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at her home.
She was born July 6, 1930 to Ronald and Gladys (Gilbreath) Gillette in St. Joseph.
Eleanor married Wooduard “Woody” Stracener on July 23, 1950. He survives of the home.
She was a graduate of Central High School and also graduated from Missouri Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. She was a nurse and worked at the Methodist Hospital, Thompson Brumm Knepper Clinic, Northwest Missouri Medical Group and the Community Blood Center.
Mrs. Stracener was a member of Francis Street First United Methodist Church where she was a communion steward and part of the Friendship Circle, Missouri State Nurses Association and PEO Chapter HC where she was a past president, treasurer and secretary. She and Woody have known each other since they were small children. They were next door neighbors and life-long sweethearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dean and Jim Gillette; and grandson, Joshua Stracener.

He graduated from Central High School in 1966 and later attended the University of Missouri. Hank was devoted to music and film. He owned and operated Aardvark Video Store and was the soundman for the band White Eyes for over 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: sister, Carol (Fishman) Housh and husband, Bob; aunt, Charlotte Hochman; numerous cousins; and extended family.

ST. JOSEPH – Denise Elaine Shanks, 58, passed away Saturday May 24, 2014. She was born July 16, 1955 in St. Joseph. She married Charles “Chuck” Shanks on Mary 28, 1988 and he survives of the home.
She graduated from Benton High School class of 1973. She worked at Purina Mills, and Wire Rope Corporation of American as a secretary. She loved animals, gardening and flower gardening, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by husband, Chuck Shanks of the home; her father, Gary Moore and step mother Melinda “Lynn” Moore of St. Joseph; mother, Connie Vavra of St. Joseph; daughter, Courtney Lewis and husband Jason of Columbia, Mo.; grandchildren, Jaren, Lainie, and Kadin; two brothers, Billy Schildknecht of Fillmore, Mo.; and Sean Moore and wife Heather of Harrisonville, Mo.; two sisters, Raegene Vavra of Bali, Indonesia; and Amy Vavra of St. Joseph; and paternal step grandmother Maude Moore.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. She will be cremated under the direction of the Rupp Funeral Home following the visitation service. ST. JOSEPH – Nathaniel “Nate” McCartney Sr., 47, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Liberty, Mo. hospital. He was born July 30, 1966 in St. Joseph and the son of Louisa and Michael McCartney. He attended Lafayette High School and Webster elementary. He worked at G.T. Midwest as a Plant Manager for the past 18 years. He enjoyed Nascar, horse shoes, watching football, also enjoyed being active with the boy scouts, and he was a member of the Catholic faith. Nate was preceded in death by father, Michael McCartney Sr.; and two sisters, Margaret Wilson, and Carmen Ostroski; maternal grandmother, Josefina Bernard; and two maternal grandfathers, Sylvester Orozco and Augusta Bernard.
Survivors include, his mother Louisa McCartney; daughter, Danielle Tuttle of Branson; son, Nate McCartney and daughter, Amanda McCartney both of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Saya-Lanay, Abigail, Aidan, Aliana, and Codi; former wife, Tammy (mother of Danielle) and former wife Renee McCartney (Mother of Nate and Amanda); Peggy Saling, his partner for 18 years and her children, Christina Dillinger; Peggy’s Children; John Morse; four brothers, Johnny Orozco, Michael McCartney, Charlie McCartney, and Joe McCartney; two sisters, Melissa McCartney, and Rosemary Barnett; 29 nieces and nephews.
